Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great week and got some reading done! Here are the books that came my way this week!
First from my lovely blogger friend Lauren at Love is Not a Triangle (go check her fab blog out sometime!) I got Monstrous Beauty by Elizabeth Fama. After reading Lauren and Asheley's (Into the Hall of Books) glowing reviews I knew I had to try this one out. Thank you Lauren for the loan and trusting me with this book, which she was lucky enough to have signed by the author! I'm taking good care of it:)
From my friend Wendy I received four awesome ARC's that I am SO excited to read:
- All Men of Genius by Lev. A. C. Rosen- It's steampunk! It's got girl's dressed as boys (which my friend Heidi and I LOVE in books!)
- Variant by Robinson Wells- It's got factioning kids in a boarding school setting, SCORE!
- Dare Me by Megan Abbott- It's got whacked out power hungry cheerleaders, woo hoo!
- Death Cloud (Young Sherlock Holmes #1) by Andrew Lane- It's Sherlock Holmes, obviously I'm going to read it:)
Wendy came by these ARCS and very generously passed them on to me. Thank you, Wendy!
And from NetGalley I received Splintered by A.G. Howard
Thank you Amulet Books!
So here is a rundown at what you might have missed on the blog this week:
- On Tuesday I reviewed Stealing Parker by Miranda Kenneally
- On Wednesday it was the final week of the Cornerstone Readalong!
- On Friday I reviewed The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
And I also am participating in the Banned Books Week Giveaway Hop so jump to that post and enter to win a frequently challenged book of your choice!
Next week look for reviews of Defiance by C.J. Redwine, The Diviners by Libba Bray and Ten by Gretchen McNeil. I haven't done a cover reveal post in a while so I may throw one of those in as well:)
That's it for me! Be sure to link me up in the comments so I can read about your week!

AAA, you've got All Men of Genius! Really want to read this book and Splintered, of course! Enjoy your wonderful haul, Heather! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you think of Monstrous Beauty! I know Heidi didn't enjoy it, so I'm most likely not going to read it, but I'm curious to see what you make of it. I'm reading The Diviners right now and I LOVE it. It is simply amazing, so I'm excited for your upcoming review of that one! Fabulous haul this week, Heather! :D

ReplyDeleteSherlock Holmes! Sweet! Hope you like it and the other books :)
ReplyDeleteHey Girl. I feel like a flake this week because I barely had time to return comments. I will be better this week though. Some great titles I am intrigued by the wacked out cheerleader book! Oh I can't wait to hear what you think of Ten! I might just squeeze that in during October, we will see, October is just slammed on my blog so many good giveaways. Make sure you stop by and enter. I promise I will pop by I definitely want to read your ten review
ReplyDelete,
Monstrous Beauty. I hope you love it. Elizabeth Fama is incredibly talented and that book is immensely enjoyable, at least to me. Atmospheric and ghostly, not just a mermaid book! Can't wait to hear what you think!
