DeleteOh my gosh I just saw Band of Horses with My Morning Jacket a couple of weeks ago and they BLEW MY MIND. This is such a great lineup. I love that you love music like I do, obviously, and I can sit her SPAZZING OUT on my bed right this second (seriously, it is happening right now) and you totally GET IT.
ReplyDeleteI completely married Mike because of Pearl Jam. Not even kidding. When we meet we'll throw music into our book mix. Because we'll have lots to talk about and listen to. WOW. Have a FANTASTIC time and when BOH sings Laredo think of MEEEE!!!!!
I love that we have similar music tastes Asheley! We really do need to try to meet sometime IRL and chat books, music and films! We can have an 80s and 90s movie marathon while we are at it!
DeleteI can't wait to see Band of Horses! And I will most definitely think of you during Laredo! There are some other cool old school bands too, like Superchunk and Bob Mould (of Husker Du) playing too.
This will be my first time seeing any of these bands, I can't believe I've never seen Pearl Jam before now! I heard the other day that Pearl Jam and Soundgarden might tour together next year. How cool would that be??
Btw, if you have Sirius XM they are going to be covering the festival live on Ch. 22, Pearl Jam radio:)

ReplyDeleteNice, Heather, have fun! I'd be all over Florence and Band of Horses. And Ben Folds Five. I have gotten to see Ben Folds live before, and it's one of the best shows I've ever seen. =)
